There are billions of galaxies in the observable universe. Each with up to a trillion stars, means there are likely trillions and trillions of habitable planets in the cosmos. But, if such worlds are so abundant, and life on Earth has been able to thrive, then why have we not found any aliens yet?
Almost everyone wants to believe in UFO’s and alien creatures. Odds are that if there were alien civilizations, they would be just as eager to find us as we are. But for many years now, we have had satellites and monitoring equipment scanning the heavens, looking for the slightest blip and sadly we found absolutely nothing.
There is no doubt, these questions do comes in our mind:
Such a seemingly casual question asked in a lunchtime conversation by physicist Enrico Fermi too. The remark came while Fermi was discussing with his mealtime mates the possibility that many sophisticated societies populate the Galaxy. But looking around, he didn’t see any clear indication that they’re out and about. This prompted Fermi to ask what was an obvious question:
Where is Everybody?
The Fermi Paradox seeks to answer this question of where the aliens are. Fermi paradox is a conflict between arguments of scale and probability that seem to favor intelligent life being common in the universe, and a total lack of evidence of intelligent life having ever arisen anywhere other than on the Earth.
Does understanding the above statement seems complicated?? 🙄
Then check out this video presented by youtube channel – Kurz Gesagt explaining the Fermi Paradox in a very simple way.
After watching the above video, if you are feeling interested, then there is one more video explaining the possible solutions and ideas for the big question:
Where are the Aliens?
There could be possibly several reasons behind the no evidence of Aliens. The most terrifying one, out of them is that we are living in a holographic world. Everything around us is just a holographic image and nothing is REAL here. The universe might appear one way and be something else entirely, like a hologram. There’s even a chance that we’re all part of a computer simulation by some researcher from another world. If that is true, then the answer is “other forms of life simply weren’t programmed into this simulation and thats why we are alone in Universe”.
The idea of Universe as a fiction generated by computer code like “The Matrix” solves a number of inconsistencies and mysteries about the cosmos, like for example our quest for extraterrestrial life and the mystery of dark matter. But then the question arise:
Is it really true? Are we living in a Matrix?
